I've just moved into a new apartment but the garage door needs to be opened by hand, no remote control. I feel a bit weird because everytime when I park my car I need to get out of the car to open the door and then get back into the car again. And sometimes people walk by just look at me I don't even know if it's safe or not since my car is a relatively a nice car. Anyway, so go back to my question, is it common to open the garage door by hand? Would people make fun of me?

I have a standard garage door with opener, chain driven. It sounds normal when opening it put very squeaky when closing. Hummm. Same rollers, same hinges, any ideas?

I have a steel garage door that is 16' wide and 8' tall (standard 2 car garage door). The door is made by wayne-dalton and insulated. What I want to know is, can I buy a replacement section (with windows) to replace the TOP section that is bowed in the center?

My friend Anita and I were wandering in town and found an old, very much abandoned stationhouse or warehouse or something It was in the dumpiest part of town and there were holes in the walls and broken glass everywhere. It was cleared out too, so we amused ourselves by picking up stones from the ground and throwing them at the windows to break them. It seemed abandoned so why not?

After we broke a lot of windows with rocks, some huge chinese guy from the outside walked into the garage door of this place, which had been open the whole time, and he started screaming something at us. I mean SCREAMING. I don't know if he was holed up there or what but my stupid friend Anita shouted "Hey chink. You on welfare on something?" and the huge chinese guy started running toward us. We ran away. While we were running, Anita thought it would be so funny to make me get caught so she tripped me with her leg. But I grabbed her leg when I fell and when I did this, she landed on her chin and started crying that a couple of her teeth broke off.

I was really scared so I left Anita there because of the huge chinese guy who was still charging at us at full speed, like he was going to seriously hurt us. So I ran out of the warehouse and am safely at home.

I didn't know what happened to Anita until now, 3 hours later. No one was picking up before. But apparently she is at home and is really mad at me, because I just got off the phone with her. The huge chinese guy didn't get her but she's saying that her mom is going to sue my mom because of me tripping her. Can she do this? She tripped me first. I am so mad right now.

to be used as a decorative accent on a wood sectional overhead garage door in a cold climate? the marble is 1" thick and up to 16" long.

I know there are devices that close the garage door automatically if I forget to close it myself. But is there any that will sense my car is near and open the door automatically ?

I live on the New Jersey coast and we're expecting Hurricane Irene this weekend. I'm worried about our garage door blowing in, since the garage is under the house and it would let water in. Is there any way to brace it?

i just changed the battery on my garage door remote. now it won't open the garage door unless i'm right next to the engine. somehow the range on the remote control has been shortened. anyone know how to correct this problem or extend the remote control range?
