I just moved and my new house has a craftsman opener (chain drive) and no sensors, i should add the garage door on the house has them. The door i need help with is on a little shop in back, i live out of town i have no kids no pets and no one with in a half mile its a pain please help.

I'm worried that I will get robbed. Help? Tips?

Alrighty. Well, I have a garage that doesn't lock or anything, you just pull it open to open it. Its really heavy, actually, and it makes A LOT of sound. Anywho, there was a cop a few doors and on the right side of the street. He was at my friends house. I'm too worried to ask him about what happened, it might have been something bad. The cop went back around the corner to my street and I asked my other friend and his family at the end of the block. When I talked to my other friend later, he said that someone opened their garage, and they have the same kind as I do. I'm too nervous to asked them if anything was taken out of their garage, I don't want to upset them.. :(
I'm just really scared and nervous that someones going to break into our house now. We have a chihuahua thats really sweet but the garage and door spook him sometimes, so if he hears them open he'll bark. My parents would probably hear it too.. I'm still worried.
What if they hurt my family while I'm at school or something? What if they try and hurt me??
..This part may sound a bit weird, but my friends dad, who lives across the street from me, is a policeman himself, and he has a cop car outside of his house. Hopefully this will prevent any robberies?
Any tips, ideas, at all? :c

Is it right for this person to sue me? HELP!?

I am 16 years old. My friend Anita and I were wandering in town and found an old, very much abandoned stationhouse or warehouse or something It was in the dumpiest part of town and there were holes in the walls and broken glass everywhere. It was cleared out too, so we amused ourselves by picking up stones from the ground and throwing them at the windows to break them. It seemed abandoned so why not?

After we broke a lot of windows with rocks, some huge chinese guy from the outside walked into the garage door of this place, which had been open the whole time, and he started screaming something at us. I mean SCREAMING. I don't know if he was holed up there or what but my stupid friend Anita shouted "Hey chink. You on welfare on something?" and the huge chinese guy started running toward us. We ran away. While we were running, Anita thought it would be so funny to make me get caught so she tripped me with her leg. But I grabbed her leg when I fell and when I did this, she landed on her chin and started crying that a couple of her teeth broke off.

I was really scared so I left Anita there because of the huge chinese guy who was still charging at us at full speed, like he was going to seriously hurt us. So I ran out of the warehouse and am safely at home.

I didn't know what happened to Anita until now, 3 hours later. No one was picking up before. But apparently she is at home and is really mad at me, because I just got off the phone with her. The huge chinese guy didn't get her but she's saying that her mom is going to sue my mom because of me tripping her. Can she do this? She tripped me first. I am so mad right now.

My Genie Pro 98 garage door opener stopped working last week. I came home one day and noticed the rubber seating on the bottom of the garage door had worked itself between the door and the door frame and jammed the door open about 4 inches. Since then the opener stopped working. When I press the door remote button, the motor just hums, but no movement. The hum stops when I let go of the button.

i just changed the battery on my garage door remote. now it won't open the garage door unless i'm right next to the engine. somehow the range on the remote control has been shortened. anyone know how to correct this problem or extend the remote control range?

thank you in advance.

Chapter 7.

Mirkanda walked in the garage as Tim stood propped against the tree in front of their house. She knocked twice on the wooden, white door of the garage and it flipped open.

Tim turned at the creaking voice of the door of the garage. As Mirkanda walked in, Tim peered at his father’s car that stood in the middle of the garage with some iron boxes scattering all around it. The yellow light of the garage fell over the car’s red color, and went in through its small windows. The car was so small that Tim thought it resembled a matchbox.

“Come in…” mirkanda said from behind the steering wheel.

As Tim went in beside mirkanda, he thought whether he needed anything for his journey. But he didn’t’ know where they were going. He felt that sooner enough he would return home safe, but the cold, violent look that mirkanda gave him as she revved the engine did not approve his opinion.

The car wheeled off and mirkanda took full speed as they started to reach the main road, on their journey to kerf’s magical shop.

Halfway through the road, Tim went down to buy a can of cola, but as he paid the man, something steered behind the grass to his right. Tim shivered a bit, then took his cola, and ran back into the car.

He did not mention to mirkanda the eyes that he noticed peering at him from behind the grass. “You’re just imagining…,” he told himself as he leaned over the leather bound backseat, heavy and tired.

Tim struggled for some time with his heavy lids. He wanted to keep his attention on the road with mirkanda, but eventually he failed and fell asleep.

He dreamed. He found himself standing in a dark room. As he walked through the room, he collided with a table, and then he heard the clatter of a glass as it fell and rolled on the ground. His heart began beating faster when he saw a small flame walking forward in the darkness. He could see some parts of the candle and the hand holding it. However, he could not see the face of the one holding it.

“Who are you?” Tim shouted in his loudest voice. “Show yourself.”

Tim backed forward as the light of the flame came forward towards him then suddenly the voice of his father spoke.

“It’s me Tim,” Mr. Denver raised the candle against his face and his wrinkled, sandy face shone under the yellow fire.

Tim’s mouth dropped. “father.” he walked forward, smiling at his father. He felt that he needed to touch his father’s soft, warm skin, so he ran at him, but before he could hug him, his father vanished and reappeared behind him.

“You can’t touch me Tim.” Denver said, “You’ve to be dead to touch me, I’m sorry.”

Tim’s eyes welled up, as his father walked forward towards him and smiled.

“Tim, you must keep the amulet safe. It’s your responsibility now.”

Everything vanished in a rolling, dusty fume and Tim woke up again. The car violently before it came to halt.

“Let’s go…” Mirkanda said, getting out of the car and standing in the middle of a dark street. The only source of light in the street was a thin yellow light that poured through the front window of a shop. It was kerf’s shop.

it's for ages 9-12.

My garage door is not working properly. Two weeks ago, it stopped working, so a repairmen came out and replaced the plastic gears inside the garage door opener. He advised me that my springs were pretty old and the weight of the wood door is what caused the plastic gears to wear down. When I was leaving for work this morning, it did the exact same thing as two weeks ago -- just stopped working and made a grinding sound when I hit the button to raise the door. What needs replaced...the actual door and springs AND the garage door opener? Where is the best place to purchase all of this equipment? What's a rough estimate to replace all of these things -- the actual door, the springs, and the garage door opener -- if you think I need it all replaced? I am not handy when it comes to garage door problems, so any insight is MUCH appreciated. We live in Jacksonville, FL (just in case there is someone local reading this). Thank you!

I have Craftsman 139.53681B garage door openers. One of the wired garage door opener green light is blinking and that Garage door does not open with the remote. The same remote opens the second Garage door without an issue. The door that has the problem can be opened with the button inside the garage that is blinking.
