Everytime afternoon when I try to close my garage door, it goes down a little and then goes back up. I think this is due to the fact that the sun is shining directly into one of the two sensors near the ground on the sides of the garage door. Our house is positioned is the most stupid way that the sun will shine into the sensor from noon until 6pm.

We've tried holding down the remote button on the garage door opener and even using the wireless keypad outside of the garage, but the stupid thing won't shut all the way down. The only way we can get it to shut down is to drive our car out of the garage, go back into the garage and manually hold down the garage door closer to bypass the sun shining into the sensor. Then we have to reinput the alarm to our house and then hurry out of the front door which wastes a lot of time.

This is so annoying and frustrating. Does anyone have any other solutions aside from the Hulk coming to pick up our house and repositioning it to face a different way

When pushing the button (on the wall of the garage) to open the door, the door opens only 12 inches. The garage door will open only when I hold the button down for a longer period of time.

Is this a sign of problems to come? What should I do? Should any repairs be made now? Is it a do it yourself project?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Information on Zombies (No question mark)?

If a zombie apocalypse happened and you turned into one of them, you wouldn't even know it. Zombies are basically just non-living things that walk and hurt people. They cannot think, breathe, talk, or anything. They central nervous system controls their movements, so if somebody with a really good shot hit you in the central nervous system, you would die. You can also decapitate one and then pour acid on it and it would be dead, but that is a risky move because if their are several zombies coming after you it would be most difficult to decapitate them all, so I would suggest sniping if you ever wanted to kill more than one.

Also, if you want to be creative and want to use a chainsaw as a weapon, think again. Chainsaws easily attract attention. Also, a chainsaw can run out of gas quickly. If you are planning on just going out to eat dinner with a friend or something, you can bring a chainsaw if you want. But like I said, it can attract attention, so be careful.

You see, zombies are all about smelling. That is how they find you. They hear you then the smell you. The noises you make doesn't actually completely attract the zombie, it's your scent. Ever wonder why zombies never eat each other? Zombies really, really hate rotting meat. Since our bodies our made up of fresh meat they will choose to eat us.

If you have no weapons nearby, I would suggest you hide somewhere very safe where the zombie cannot reach you. Most states have multiple bomb shelters that aren't used often, so use one of those. You would probably think that the zombie would just eventually break down a door or something but you are wrong. Like I said, zombies are not that smart and can't use their brain for thinking, because that part of the brain is already destroyed, therefore not knowing how to open the door. Zombies are slowly decaying, so if you keep them banging on the door for a very long time their bodies will just decay.

I am actually hoping for a zombie apocalypse. Only the strong will survive, so I suggest you practice and make plans now. What I will do is either go into my friends two door garage and barricade us in and have a lot of weaponry and machetes or go to a bomb shelter and make sure I have everything I need, food, water, all that good stuff. If I were to stay in my friends garage, I of course would stock up on food and water and if I get bored (which would be hard to do) I will play some ps3/xbox 360, unless of course they have 720's or ps4's by then.

craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener?

The opener is five years old. Recently, it has started opening/closing about half way and stopped. I have to push the button (on the wall or the remote) several times to finish the opening/closing. Sometimes I am there for five or ten minutes until it has completed.

I have lubed the moving parts, check the sensors and the door moves freely when disengaged.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

The gap is under the side door to the garage, a hinged door, not the electric garage door where you drive your cars in. I need to fill the gap so that the mice cannot live in my garage anymore! Please help!

Would this be big enough for Gerbils or Mice?

It's this
