I really didnt mean to I just went to start my car and then I left it running while I- was in the garage with the door shut for about a minute and a half. Im really worried about my health, the house and the health of my family. I only felt dizzy for about 5 minutes and Im feeling better now. All the windows and doors in the house are open and the garage door is opened now. Should I still be worried?
Help! I was trying to baby-proof my baby's room. There is a stand-alone airconditioner in there. I tried to puncture a small hole in the outer plastic cover (to attach a strap). I made sure that there was nothing right next to the plastic, but the drill slipped and went to far, and it punched a hole in some kind of metal grating piece in the back of the airconditioner. Immediately, I heard the sound of air flowing, and there was a strong stream of air blowing out of the hole. I assume that the air conditioner is broken for good, but I want to know if that air is toxic or what. What part did I hit? I removed it from his room, put it in the garage, and opened the garage door. Is it going to explode or something?? I am very worried.
We were putting up false roofing and held it up with clamps. We pressed the garage opener. Then, The door hit the edge of the clamps, and it just stopped working. We had to pull the door down.
How do we get it to work again?
Some time ago both of my car doors (2000 Mustang) became very squeaky and loud every time I opened them. When this happened, I applied some oil from a small tin can I found in my garage onto the lower part of the door (on both sides) where the "squeaky" noise was coming from, but it never seems to fully prevent the doors from making the sound. Every time I do this, about a week later the doors do it again. Will WD-40 do a better job? How can I prevent this embarrassing noise from happening?
I am trying to trouble shoot my garage door opener. The door will start to rise or close then stop. The light bulb will start to flash , like there is some thing in the way. There isn't.
Does anyone know how to rewire the opener to bypass the sensors?
The sensors are not out of alignment. Thats why I think one of them might have gone bad. The opener is aprox. 15 years old

Garage door only works before sunrise and at dusk, why is that?
No, was not a programable remote. New batteries are installed in the remote and it worked fine in the winter. I have even shaded my remote and sensors so they are not in the sun all afternoon.
Hi, I had two Chamberlains with belts installed on my new builders single garage doors. The opening is pretty silent. However, when closing, in the beginning, the units make humming like noise which can be heard in the room above. The opener installer guy blamed it on cheap builders doors but my neighbors' doors are just fine-I cannot hear much.
Is it the opener or the door, and what can be done to fix it. My expectation is to have closing as silent as opening.
So the other day I was backing out of the garage, and my mother's car was in the driveway sort of towards the middle. I was focusing so much on not hitting her car, that I accidentally scraped the side of the garage. Now there is a bit of a scuff/dent by my headlight. That's not the part I really care about. The real issue is that the front passenger door won't open more than about an inch. Apparently the latch or some part of the door bent to the point where the door won't open. You can't really see any damage though, the door looks fine.
I'm going to an auto body shop tomorrow to get an estimate on the repairs. I haven't told my mother yet, she's gonna be pissed. I fully intend to pay for it myself, but I only have about 0. Do you think that will be enough to fix the door? Also, since I am a young female who knows nothing about cars, do you think they will take advantage of me and convince me that I need to pay more or have more done than I really need to? And how should I avoid that?
