I don't have an owners manual since I just bought the house and it's an older model garage door opener. It's a fixed keypad on the outside of the garage.

When my garage door is opened, my entire neighborhood can hear it. It screams like an infant. Is there a special kind of oil reserved for garage doors like there is special oil for chainsaws?

As part of a recent remodel of our San Jose, California home,we changed the garage door location of our standard 22'x22' garage from being south facing to west facing.
The problem is the original floor sloped slightly from the north end to the south end (difference : 1.5 inches) - and hence we now have this potential problem of water accoumulating at the new south wall.
The existing floor is in very good condition with the exception of small cracks here and there.
Any suggestions to re-slope the floor without a completely redo is highly appreciated.

I have a Wayne Dalton garage door opener. The garage door opener takes a 60W light bulb. For the last month or so I have had to replace this bulb about 5 to 6 times. The bulbs are blowing out way too soon. The bulbs that I am installing are GW Reveal 60W bulbs. Is the problem with the light bulbs I am using or is the problem with the garage door opener itself?

I'd like to paint my garage door. It's metal and sectioned (3 sections). What's the easiest way to paint it? What type of paint should I use? Thanks!

Any garage door experts heard of this - when i open or close my garage door (remote or button on wall) it will start and stop part way or start, stop and reverse with only one push. Eg, Ill push the button to close it, it will start down, and then it will go back up. After multiple tries, it will finally close or open depending on what Im trying to do? Is this something simple to fix or should I get a new system?

my brother is out in the garage and the door that leads into the house is stuck.And our garage doors are broken(we use the garage as a entertainment room anyways) and I started laughing, but I realized he's really stuck. I pushed with all my might, but I can't get it open.Any suggestions? And why is it suddenly getting stuck.It worked fine before.

We were working in the garage and made contact with a chord that hangs from the bottom of garage door opener. We went to close the garage door and the motor works, but the pulling mechanism does not open or close the garage door. The garage door is a Stanley.
Can anyone offer advice or know where we can get a user manual?

the chain(s) are still attached. There is a rope/cord that is dangling. I think it is an emergency quick release.

After finding out that I had a button inside the garage that would close the door, I left my opener inside the garage, pushed the button and walked away. Come to find out, my garage door opener is inside of my garage and I have no access to it. I have no emergency key installed, no window and no side doors. HELP!!!! How do get in the garage?

my garage door is acting all wonky. When I tried to open it, it wouldn't open. And then miraculously, it decided to open itself in the middle of the night. When I open it, it only opens part of the way, stays open for a few minutes and then closes again. I've tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Is there a reset button? What else can I do?
